Lauren Nese
Secretary
Lauren is Secretary for the ESCA Board and volunteers at ESCA community activities. She has a BS in Business Administration from SUNY Albany and worked in IT project management for 16 years before her twins were born extremely prematurely. She then became their advocate from early intervention through transition to adulthood, taking advantage of numerous therapies and community resources to help them thrive. Her son Bill has overcome many challenges and is now a PhD candidate at WVU. Her son Matthew is still medically dependent and has autism/IDD but loves being the Doorman/Greeter at the ESCA adult social group! Besides keeping Matthew healthy, active, and engaged in the community, Lauren is currently learning about the resources available to smoothly transition a medically complex patient from pediatric to adult medical care.
