Tara Stanton was raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and earned her B.S. in Human Ecology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a concentration in Retail and Consumer Science and a minor in Marketing. Following graduation, she built a strong foundation in the retail industry, serving as an apparel buyer with Saks Inc. and Larrimor’s department stores.
Most recently, Tara worked as a Prevention Education Specialist in Westmoreland County Schools, where she educated students on the dangers of drugs and alcohol. In September 2025, she joined East Suburban Citizens Advocacy (ESCA), where she focuses on fundraising and marketing to further the organization’s mission of advocacy, opportunity, inclusion and community support.
